Brittaney MorrisonWhen Brittaney Morrison first auditioned for the Apollo Theater in New York City, she was told that she would never make it singing a Broadway song. She was also the only minor auditioning. Brittaney held fast to the advice her EVSPA vocal teacher and to what she had been prepared to sing. Brittaney went on to sing all three competitive rounds and was noted to be the first singer to have money showered on her from the balcony. When asked how she did it, she responded; “I kept my focus on what my teacher told me to do.” Ms. Morrison has since sung for Disney and Nickelodeon, at the NAACP conference in Los Angeles, at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., Madison Square Garden. |
