Lois Nichols received her dance training from Hollins College in Roanoke,VA and Boston University, graduating with a Masters Degree in Dance Therapy from B.U.
Her early teaching experience includes several summers teaching modern dance at a Creative Arts Camp in Dover, MA and being choreographer of the yearly high school musical in NYC where she taught science for three years.
Mrs. Nichols has lived in Newport News with her family for over 18 years. Her experience as a teacher’s aide and volunteering at the preschool and elementary school level has equipped her with important skills for teaching young ages. With a passion for dance, she has maintained her ballet skills at EVSPA, participated in “Nutcracker” productions, and attends yearly summer workshops for teaching dance technique to children of all ages. This is her third year teaching at EVSPA |
